Answer in October Term 1807 of Joseph Snell to the petition of Roger Snell. He admits that John Snell died leaving the persons name in the petition as his heirs and that the defendant did administer on the estate of John Snell. The amount of sales was as he believes was stated in the petition about 231 pounds, 8 shillings & 7 pence. It is true he entered no bonds, notes, money or book accounts in the inventory because there were none such. The defendant never has refused to settle the estate and has caused auditors to be appointed ten or twelve times but he has never been able to procure a meeting of them. Auditors have been appointed at this term to settle the estate and he is desirous of doing so and paying over to the heirs their share of the estate. The petition should therefore be dismissed.
