Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
January Session 1782
On motion of Mr. John Ansley ordered that he administer the estate of John Simson deceased accordingly the said Ansley appeared in open court and qualified to the same and gave in security Jesse Hatfield & John Harrison in a bond of 50,000 pounds.
Mr. John Ansley appeared in open court and returned on oath an inventory of the estate of John Simson deceased.
April Session 1782
On motion of John Alexander ordered that Joseph Spruill Joseph Wyatt Esqr. Capt. Joseph Spruill & James Wood or any three of them divide the estate of John Simpson amongst the heirs according to law and make returns to next court.
