Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
February Session 1778
Dennis Sawyer appeared in open court & prayed administration on the estate of Samuel Simmons he being the grates creditor the same was granted & gave for security John Gibson Esqr. & William Howet in a bond of six hundred pounds current money of this state.
Ordered that Dennis Sawyer have leave to sell the perishable part of the estate of Samuel Simmons deceased and make return to next court.
May Session 1778
Appeared John Warringon in open court and exhibited an account of sales on oath of the estate of Samuel Simmons deceased ordered to be filed.
