On the 26th day of November 1812 William Scott being very sick requested of William Combs to make known the following Gifts. I Scott give to wife one canoe and schooner boat could Nancy if she can make payment to William Midgett if she cannot to be sold to satisfy the said Midgett the said William Scott said he gave to his brother Samuel Scott his watch and five clothes and he the said Scott give to his brother and sister all the property he owns Northward ---


Personal appeared William Combs on the 27th of November 1812 and made oath that William Scott of Currituck County made the above gifts that he was in his proper senses.

A paper purporting to be a verbal will of William Scott of Currituck County was proved in open court by the oath of William Combs and the paper filed as follows viz. on the 26th day of November 1812 William Scott being very sick requested of William Combs to make known the following gifts I Scott give to wife one canue and one schooner boat called Nancy if she can make payment to William Midyett if she cannot to be sold to satisfy the said Midyett the said William Scott said he gave to his brother Samuel Scott his work and fine cloths and he said Scott gave to his brother and sister all the property he owns to the northward.
Personally appeared William Combs on the 27th day of November 1812 and made oath that William Scott of Currituck County made the above gifts that he believes that he was in proper senses.
