In the name of God Amen I Edward Routon of Tyrill County being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for the same do constitute and ordain this my last will and testament first I recommend my soul to God that gave it and my body to be buried at the descretion of my executors hear after mentioned and as to my worldly goods I give as follows viz - -

My will and desire is that my dearly beloved wife Ann Routon have the use of all my estate both real and personal dureringe her widdowhood and if she never marus duringe her naturar life to raise my children and younge negroes on and at her marrage day or death to be as follows - -

1th I gave and bequeath to my well son Ossas Routon the plantation whereon I now live with all the lands that thereunto belongs and also one track of land that I bought of Robert Combs as aperes by the deed to him and his heirs forever -

2th I gave and bequeath to my well belove daughter Saley Routon at the dearth or marage of my wife a likely younge negroe and one bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever -

3th I gave and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Zillah Routon at the death or marrage of my wife one likely younge negro and one bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever -

4th I gave and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Luah Routton at the dearth or marrage of my wife one likely younge negroe and one bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever -

And lastly my will and desire is that all the remainder of my estate that is to be found to be eaqully devided amonge my fore children that is to say Salah Osias Zillah and Luah Routon to them and their heirs forever -

And I do therely appoint my dearly beloved wife Ann Routon and my brother Daniell Routon my lawfull executrix and executor of this my last will and testament and I do hereby revoke all other wills by me maid and all other executors by me apointed and do acknoledge this and this only to be my last will and testament in witness where of I have hearunto set my hand and seal this 25 day of February 1797

Personally appeared in court Ann Roughton and quallifyed executrix to the last will and testament of Edward Roughton deceased according to due form of law.
