I Rachel M. Pledger of Tyrrell County, North Carolina being of sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and declare this my last Will and Testament, in the manner and form following:

Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Annie C. Combs one third part in all the lands I own, to be hers and at her disposal absolutely forever.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Robert L. Pledger one third part in all the lands I own, to be his and at his disposal absolutely forever.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Joseph R. Pledger one third part in all the lands I own, to be his and at his disposal forever.

Lastly - This is my last Will and Testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause there of, hearby revolking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made..

In witness whereof, I the said Rachel M. Pledger do hereunto set my hand and seal, this the 16th day of June 1915.

A paper purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Mrs. Rachel M. Pledger, deceased, is exhibited before me by Robert L. Pledger one of the divisees therein mentioned and thereupon proven by the oath and examination of T. N. Gray and L. Respass the subscribing witnessess thereto: who being duly sworn, doth depose and say, that each for himself, that the said Rachel M. Pledger signed said paper-writing in the presence of each and declared the same to be her last Will and Testament. The deponants futher said that at the time the said Rachel M. Pledger subscribed her name she was of sound mind and memory and of full age to execute a will and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent. And futher these deponents say not.
