April Session 1815

Ordered that Zellah Pledger have leave of administration on the estate of Jno. Pledger deceased in gives for security {blank}.

Ordered that Zellah Pledger administratrix of Jno. Pledger deceased have leave to sell agreeable to law the perishable estate of said deceased and make return to next term.

Ordered that Sam Spruill Daniel Sawyer and Thos. Leigh Esquires lay off to Zellah Pledger widow of John Pledger deceased her years allowance agreeable to law and make return to next court.

July Session 1815

Zella Pledger administratrix of Jno. Pledger deceased returned into court an inventory of the estate of said deceased at sime time returned into court an account of sales of said deceased estate to amount of $247.32.

April Session 1817

Ordered that Danl. Sawyer John Alexander Henry Alexander Junr. & Ava Smith audite & settle the estate of John Pledger deceased & make return to next court.

July Session 1817

Ordered that Col. Danl. Sawyer Ava Smith and Henry Alexander Junr. audite and settle the estate of Jno Pledger deceased and make returns to next court.

October Session 1817

Ordered Zillah Pledger be appointed guardian to Mariah (?) Pledger & Polly Pledger entered into bond in the sum of one thousand pounds John Alexander & John Midyett securitys.

The audited account of the estate of John Pledger was returned to court by Danl. Sawyer Esqr. & filed.

April Session 1819

The account of sales of the negro hire & rent of land of the estate of John Pledger was returned to court & filed. for

Ordered that Zillah Pledger administratrix of the estate of John Pledger be alowed the sum of $192.06 2/3 cents for maintenance of Mariah & Mary Pledger orphans of said deceased as per account filed.

April Session 1820

The guardian account of Polly Pledger was returned to court & filed.

July Session 1821

Ordered that Zelah Pledger guardian to Mary Pledger be allowed the sum of twenty four dollars 62 1/2 cents for twelve months board & to 1st January 1821 of the said Mary Pledger as per account filed.

April Session 1822

The following guardians appeared in open court & renewed their guardian bonds agreeable to the act of assembly in that case made & provided as follows viz. - -
Zillah Pledger guardian to Polly Pledger

Zillah Pledger guardian to Polly Pledger returned in open court on oath her guardian account with the said orphan & filed.

October Session 1823

Enoch Hassell for Zellah Pledger guardian to Mary Pledger returned to court the guardian account of hire of negroes & rent of land for 1823 amount $25.01 & filed.

January Session 1826

Ordered that Joseph Caroon be appointed guardian to Mary Pledger infant of Jno. Pledger and gave John Midyett & Jno. B. Beasley as security for the sum of {blank}.

July Session 1826

Ordered that Saml. Spruill, Ephraim Mann, & Joseph McCleese be appointed auditors to settle the accounts between Zillah Pledger former guardian of Mary Pledger & Joseph Caroon the present guardian.

October Session 1826

Ordered that Samuel Spruill, Ephraim Mann, & Jos. McCleese be appointed auditors to settle the accounts between Zillah Pledger former guardian of Mary Pledger and Joseph Caroon the present guardian.

April Session 1827

Joseph Caroon returned an account of the rent of land and hire of negroes of the heirs of Jno. Pledger deceased and an account for keeping the children etc. amount of $11.18 3/4.

Bond dated 13 Oct 1817 in the amount of two thousand pounds appointing Zillah Pledger guardian of Mariah Pledger & Polly Pledger orphans of John Pledger deceased, John Alexander & John Midyett securities.

Bond dated 1 Apr 1822 in the amount of two thousand pounds appointing Zillah Pledger guardian of Polly Pledger orphan of John Pledger deceased, John Combs & Thomas Davenport securities.

Bond dated 25 Apr 1825 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Zillah Pledger guardian of Mary Pledger a minor orphan, Elijah P. Melson & John Thoroughgood securities.

Bond dated 23 Jan 1826 in the amount of five hundred dollars appointing Joseph Caroon guardian of Mary Pledger a minor orphan, Jno. Midyett & Jno. B. Beasly securities.
