July Session 1790

Ordered that Rosanna Phelps have leave of administration on the estate of Jesse Phelps deceased her deceased husband and give bond 300 pounds John Davis, Isaac Bateman and Josiah Phelps Senr. securitys & qualifyed.

Rosanna Phelps administratrix returns into court on oath an inventory of the said Jesse Phelps deceased ordered to be filed.

April Session 1792

Ordered that Rosannah Phelps administratrix of Jesse Phelps deceased have leave to sell part of the perishable estate of the said deceased & make return to next court.

July Session 1792

Asa Phelps Deputy Sheriff exhibits into court an account of sales of part of the estate of Jesse Phelps deceased to amount of 16 pounds & 3 shillings & ordered filed.

April Session 1793

Ordered that John Davis Senr. be appointed guardian to the orphans of Jesse Phelps deceased to wit, Josiah, Charles, Anne & Nancy Phelps and give bond in 500 pounds Abraham Jennett & Isaac Bateman securities.

Ordered that John Davis Senr. guardian to the orphans of Jesse Phelps deceased have leave to sell the perishable estate of the said deceased and make return to next court.

July Session 1793

Asa Phelps Deputy Sheriff exhibits into court an account of sales of Jesse Phelps deceased to amount of 96 pounds & 7 pence & filed.

Also an account of sales of the property give to Josiah Phelps son of Jesse Phelps deceased by his grand father Josiah Phelps to amount 13 pounds & 3 shillings & filed.

Also an account of sales of the property give to Charles Phelps son of Jesse Phelps deceased by his grand father Josiah Phelps to amount 9 pounds & 11 shillings & filed.

January Session 1794

Mr. Asa Phelps exhibits in court the rent of the plantation of Jesse Phelps deceased for the term of six years amounting to 40 pounds & 2 shillings & filed.

Guardian bond in amount of 500 pounds dated 16 April 1793 appointing John Davis Senr. guardian of the orphans of Jesse Phelps with Abraham Jennett & Isaac Bateman securities. Orphans of Jesse Phelps are Josiah, Charles, Anne & Nancy Phelps.

Writ dated 30 Oct 1793 for Frederick Phelps to appear in court on the fourth Monday in January 1794 to answer charges filed by John Davis Senr. guardian of Ann & Anna Phelps. Charge is that Frederick Phelps has detained a mare that is the property of Ann, Anna & Rosanna Phelps. Damages of 100 pounds sought.

There is a Tyrrell County marriage bond for the marriage of Jesse Phelps to Rosannah Davis dated 1 Mar 1781, Isaac Bateman security.
