Transcriber's Notes:
Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of John Pagett to Ann Bateman on 3 Jan 1786, Ezekiel Alexander & Isaac Davenport securities; also John Pagitt to Mary Spruill on 26 Mar 1793, John Batman security; also John Pagett to Sarah Belanga on 15 Aug 1816, Richard Spruill security.
The Samuel Padgett, age 17, and Zebulon Padgett, age 15, apprenticed in 1818 are probably sons of John Padgett. Census records confirm there were male children in this age range in his household in the 1810 census.
Tyrrell County marriage bonds also show the marriage of Lydia Pagett to James Clayton on 14 Mar 1821, John Brickhouse security and the marriage of Patsey Padgett to (Thos.) Jefferson Swain on 19 Dec 1825, James McCabe security. These are probably daughters of John Padgett.
