October Session 1789

Ordered that Lucretia Owens widow of Zachariah Owens deceased have leave of administration on the estate of the said deceased and give bond in 250 pounds William Twiford & Zachariah Owens her son securities and qualifyed accordingly.

Also returns into court on oath an inventory of the said Zachariah Owens deceased estate & filed.

Ordered that Lucretia Owens administrator of Z. Owens deceased have leave to sell the perishable estate of the said deceased and make return to next court.

January Session 1790

John Snell Deputy Sheriff returns into court an account of sales of the perishable part of the estate of Zachariah Owens deceased to amount of 44 pounds, 14 shillings & 9 pence.

October Session 1791

Thomas Hopkins Esqr. returns into court the accounts of Lucretia Owens administratrix of Zachariah Owens deceased wherein a balance is found in favor of the estate to the amount of 15 pounds, 2 shillings & 8 pence ordered filed.

Petition dated 24 Jan 1803 for dower in the lands of her husband Zachariah Owens deceased by Lucreasey Owens.

Petition for division of the lands of Zachariah Owens Senr. deceased in January Term 1803 by William Owens son of the deceased. He died in 178- possessed of 78 1/2 acres on the east side of Great Alligator River joining the lands of Thomas Owens & Frederick Owens. There are 7 heirs including himself, Peter James John Uriah Owen & Jehu Owens.

Petition January Term 1825 by Lucretia Owens for dower in the lands of her husband Zachariah Owens that lay on the east side of Little Alligator River joining Isaac Owens & Barclift. Prayer granted.
