Transcriber's Notes:
Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of Miles Spruill to ------ Norman on 3 Jan 1787, William Spruill security.

The 1790 census of Tyrrell County shows households for both Joseph Norman Junr. & Joseph Norman Senr. Neither appear in the 1800 census. The estate file of Joseph Norman Senr. most likely contains estate papers for both men, Joseph Norman Junr. having died circa 1792 and Joseph Norman Senr. circa 1799.
