Dated 14 August 1806

In the name of God amen: I, Adkins Massey Senr. of Tyrrell County Farmer being infirm in body but in perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in form following. That is to say I give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that give it My body I recommend to the earth to be decently intern at the discretion of my executors and touching such worldly estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with. I will and Bequeath in the following maner & form.

I bequeath to Frederic Massey my beloved son one small sail boat likewise all my accountys after my just bebts are satisfied excepting eight pounds I also leave to my well beloved daughter Anne Fuller. Also I give to Adkins Massey Junr. One Black broad cloth coat. All the rest of my wearing apparel I leave unto my son Frederic Massey likewise constitute make and ordain my son Frederic Massey the sole executor of this my last will and Testament by him freely to be possessd & enjoyed and I do hereby utterly disalloaw revoke and disanul all and every other former Testament and Wills by me in any ways before named willed & bequeathed ratifying and confirming this & no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of August one thousand eight hundred and six. Signed Sealed published and pronounced by the said Adkins Massey Senior as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names.

October Session 1806

Frederick Massey came into open court and quallified executor to the last will and testament of Adkins Massey deceased.

October Session 1812

Ordered that Urijah Phelps be allowed for himself and the people who served with him in behalf of the state against Adkins Massey agreeable to his account rendered and execution issue against the estate of the said Adkins Massey if any to be found.
