April Session 1807

Ordered that Affey Mason have leave of administration on Archibald Mason and has given bond in the sum of one thousand pounds currency William Combs and Thomas Midyett her securities bond filed.

Ordered that Affey Mason have leave to sell the movable estate of Archibald Mason and make return to next court.

Ordered that Paul Thoroughgood William Combs William Dowdy and William Owens be appointed to lay off the years allowance to Affey Mason out of the estate Archibald Mason her deceased husband - - who must make return to next court.

July Session 1807

Affey Mason returned in court on oath an account of sales which was all the return she could make as an inventory and account of sales of the estate of Archibald Mason filed also an inventory of the ballance of the estate of Archibald Mason taken since the above account of sales was taken.

The men who were appointed by court to lay off the years allowance to Affy Mason out of the estate of Archibald Mason deceased returned as follows allowed to the widdow 13 barrells corn 600 lb pork 300 lb beef 1 barrell flour 15 lb coffee 50 lb sugar 4 bushels salt 1 lb black pepper 2 lb alspice 5 gallons molasses 50 lb hogs lard 20 lb butter 40 lb cheese given under the hands of Wm. Owens Wm. Dowdey and Wm. Combs return filed.

May Session 1808

Ordered that William Midyett John Midyett and Edward Mann be appointed to audite the estate of Archibald Mason deceased and make return to next court.

November Session 1808

Ordered that William Midyett John Midyett & Edward Mann be appointed to audite and settle the estate of Archibald Mason deceased and make return to next court.

June Session 1809

Ordered that Affy Mason have leave to sell negroes of the estate of Archibald Mason sufficient to settle the ballance due his creditors and make return to next court.

Affy Mason returned in court the audited account of the estate of Archibald Mason and find the said estate indebted to the administratrix the sum of 126 pounds, 7 shillings & 1 pence.

September Session 1810

Ordered that Edward Man Samuel Midyett and John Midyett or a majority of them be appointed to audite the estate of Archibald Mason and settle the same with Affy Mason administratrix of said deceased and make return to next court.

December Session 1810

Thomas M. Midyett returned in court the audited accounts of Affy Mason with the estate of Archibald Mason deceased and a ballance due to Affy Mason as administratrix of said deceased of 1 pound & 10 shillings.

Ordered that Affy Mason have leave to hire out the negroes for one year belonging to the estate of Archibald Mason deceased and make due return.

Ordered that John Midyett Edward Mann & Thos. M. Midyett divide the property of Archibald Mason deceased among the lawfull representatives of said deceased and make return to next court.

October Session 1811

Ordered that Lewis Midyett Samuel Midyett & Edward Man audite and settle the estate & divide the estate of Archibald Mason deceased and make return next court.

October Session 1817

Ordered that Lewis Midyett Jno. Midyett and Benjamin Midyett be appointed commissioners to divide the negroes belonging to Soloman Mann and Elizabeth his wife to Thos. Mason and Jno. Mason heirs at law to Archibald Mason deceased and make return to next court.

Ordered that the above named Lewis Jno. and Benjamin Midyett be appointed to audite and settle the accounts of Thos. Mann guardian to the above orphans and make returns to next court.

January Session 1823

Ordered that Lewis Midyett Benjn. Midyett John Midyett John M. Midyett & Aaron Barnett or any three of them be appointed to divide the negroes & notes belonging to the estate of Archibald Mason deceased & make report to the next term.

April Session 1824

A report of the division of the estate of Archibald Mason was returned in open court and ordered to be filed.

Bond dated 28 Apr 1807 in the amount of {blank} pounds appointing Affy Mason administratrix of the estate of Archibald Mason deceased with William Combs & Thomas Midyett securities.

Valuation of the negroes of Archibald Mason deceased on 28 Dec 1811 by Edward Mann, Samuell Midyett & Lewis Midyett:
Isaac valued at three hundred dollars
Chain valued at three hundred dollars
Luck & Penny valued at three hundred dollars
Ben & Zack valued at three hundred dollars
Affy Mann drew Ben & Zack at the valuation and the rest of the negroes to be equally divided among the lawful heirs of Archibald Mason deceased when they all come of lawful age.

Valuation and division of the negrows belonging to the heirs of Archibald Mason deceased on 2 Dec 1817 to get out Solomon Mann's part:
Negrow man Isaac to Thomas & John Mason valued to $275.00
Negrow woman Chane to Solomon Mann valued to $285.00
Negrow boy Luck to Thomas & John Mason valued to $325.00
Negrow girl Pen to Solomon Mann valued to $200.00
Negrow boy Isaac to Thomas & John Mason valued to $120.00
Negrow girl Margret to Thomas & John Mason valued to $130.00
Negrow child Dorothy to Solomon Mann value to $100.00
Whole amount = $1,435.00
Solomon Mann's part = $478.33 1/3

Account of the estate of Archibald Mason from 1817 through 1822 with Affy Mann and division of the notes and negroes belonging to the estate on 18 Jan 1823. Thomas Mason drew Luck & Margaret and fell in debt to his brother John $193.34 which overruns Thomas Mason's part of the notes $48.50. Signed by Benjn. Midyett, John Midyett & Lewis Midyett.
