Ordered that Jesse Merritt & John Merritt be bound an apprentice to Azaal Johnson to learn the art & mistery of a cordwinder - - the indentures filed.
Ordered that Isaac Merritt be bound an apprentice to Azaal Johnson to learn the art & mistery of a cordwinder.
April Session 1819
Ordered that Azael Johnson deliver to the next term the orphan children of Jesse Merritt to answer the complaint of Milley Merritt & be dealt with as the law directs.

Deed records show that Milley Merritt was the wife of Jesse Merritt and daughter of William Hassell Senr.
