July Session 1818

Ordered that Jonathan Morriss have leave of administration on the estate of John Morriss & has entered into bond in the sum of five hundred dollars & qualified agreeable to law Isaac Hassell & Abel Sawyer securitys.

Ordered that Selby Patrick Esqr. Thomas Hopkins John Alexander & Lemuel Basnight lay off to Priscilla Morriss widdow of John Morriss deceased one year provision agreeable to act of assembly & make return to next term.

October Session 1818

Jonathan Morriss returned on oath in open court the inventory & account of sales of the estate of John Morriss deceased & filed.

Laying off of one year's provision to Priscilla Morris, widow of John Morris deceased and her two children on 3 Oct 1818.

Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of John Morris to Priscilla Alexander on an unknown date, Abram Alexander security.
The will of Joshua Alexander written in 1796 shows a daughter named Priscilla who is under age and requires a guardian at Joshua's death in 1799.
