August Session 1777

Mr. Benjamin Spruill appeared in court and prayed administration on the goods and chattles of Peter Marriner deceased and gave for security Thomas Spruill Jesse Lewis in a bond of two hundred pounds.

Ordered that Benjamin Spruill have leave to sell so much of the perishable part of the estate of Peter Marriner deceased as shall pay the debts and return the accounts of sale to next court.

November Session 1777

Appeared Edmund Blount Sheriff in oppen court and exhibited an account of sales of the estate of Peter Marriner deceased on oath the amount of said account appears to be 133 pounds, 9 shilings & 10 pence ordered to be registered.

August Session 1778

Ordered that Hezekiah Spruill & Nehemiah Norman be and are hereby appointed to divide the estate of Peter Marriner deceased between the widow and orphans granted.

November Session 1778

Ordred that Hezekiah Spruill & Nehemiah Norman Esqrs. devide the estate of Peter Marriner deceased between the widow and orphans and make returns to next court.

July Session 1787

Ordered that Benjamin Spruill Esqr. and Samuel Chesson divide the estate of Peter Marriner deceased between his two sons John and Peter Marriner and make return to next court.

January Session 1788

Ordered that Col. Hezekiah Spruill be appointed guardian to Peter Marriner orphan of Peter Marriner deceased and give bond in 200 pounds Jeremiah Frasier & Joseph Phelps Esqr. securities.

Ordered that Col. Joseph Spruill, Joseph Phelps Esqr. & Samuel Chesson or either two of them be appointed to divide the estate of Peter Marriner deceased between the representatives of said deceased and make return to next court.

Ordered that Col. Joseph Spruill, Joseph Phelps & Samuel Chesson or either two of them be appointed auditors to audite the accounts of the administration of Peter Marriner deceased and make return to next court.

April Session 1788

Col. Joseph Spruill one of the dividers returns into court a division of the estate of Peter Marriner deceased among the representatives of said deceased ordered filed.

Guardian bond dated 4 Oct 1787 in the amount of two hundred pounds appointing Tabitha Mariner guardian of John Mariner a minor orphan with John Hamilton & John Armistead securities. Flyleaf says John Mariner is son of Tabitha Mariner.

Division of the estate of Peter Marriner deceased on 14 Feb 1788 between John Marriner & Peter Marriner orphans of the deceased.
