April Session 1818

Ordered that Affa Mann of Thomas Mann deceased have leave of administration on the estate of said Thomas Mann deceased and has entered into bond in the sum of three thousand dollars Lewis Midyett and Frederick Davenport her security.

Ordered that Affa Mann administratrix of the estate of Thomas Mann deceased have leave to sell the perishable estate of said deceased & make returns to next court.

Ordered that Jno. Midyett Esquire William Combs Thos. Leigh Esqr. & Samuel Spruill lay off to Mrs. Affa Mann widow of Thomas Mann deceased her years allowance agreeable to the act of assembly & make return to next court.

July Session 1818

Affy Mann widow of Thos. Mann deceased returned into court the account of sales of said deceased on oath at the same time she returned her years allowance of said deceaseds estate.

October Session 1822

Ordered that Affy Mann be allowed three dollars & 25/100 out of the estate of her son John Mason for schooling the said Jno. Mason as per account allowed & filed - also that she be allowed three dollars & 25/100 for schooling her son Joseph Mann as per account allowed & filed.

Affa Mann appeared in open court & renewed her guardian bond to Joseph, Salley & Samuel Mann & filed.

Bond dated 13 Apr 1818 in the amount of fifteen hundred pounds appointing Affa Mann administratrix of the estate of Thomas Mann deceased, Lewis Midyett & Frederick Davenport securities.

Laying off of a year's provisions to Affa Mann widow of Thomas Mann and family on 4 July 1818.

Bond dated 2 Oct 1822 in the amount of one thousand pounds appointing Affa Mann guardian of Joseph, Sally & Samuel Mann minor orphans, Frederick Davenport & John Bryant securities.

Summons dated the 4th Monday of October 1830 and issued 21 December 1830 for Affa Mann to appear at the next court to renew her guardianship bond of October Term 1822 or the court will appoint a new guardian.

Undated petition for division of the negroes belonging to the estate of Thomas Mann deceased by Joseph Mann, Sally Mann & Samuel Mann by their guardian Affa Mann. They further state that Joseph Mann, one of the petitioner, is now of full age.

Division of the negroes belonging to the estate of Thomas Mann deceased on 11 Apr 1835. Affey Mann drew Ben at four hundred and sixty two dollars. Salley Mann drew Zack & Pomp at three hundred and thirty three dollars. Joseph Mann drew Josh & Gin at three hundred and eighty four dollars. Samuel Mann drew Lid at three hundred and forty two dollars. Commissioners were John Midyett, Lewis Midyett & Benjn. Midyett.
