July Session 1786

Ordered that Benjamin Mann have leave of administration on the estate of William Mann deceased and give bond in 500 pounds Col. John Warrington & Zachariah Hunnings securities, & qualified accordingly.

Ordered that Benjamin Mann administrator of William Mann deceased have leave to sell the perishable part of the estate of said deceased and make return to next court.

October Session 1786

John Snell Deputy Sheriff exhibited in court an account of sales of the estate of William Mann deceased amounting to 184 pounds, 3 shillings & 8 pence ordered to be filed.

Mann, William, 1786


Petition in July Term 1800 by Cornelius & Anne Alexander his wife James Holloway & Mary his wife Elizabeth Routen & John Routen by their guardian Cornelius Alexander. The petitioner intermarried Anne who was the daughter of Martha Mann and that Mary Routen & Elizabeth & John are all the children of Martha Mann and that the said Martha was a sister of the whole blood of William Mann who died in 1786 possessed of a personal estate valued at 125 pounds and his brother Benjamin Mann was administrator of his estate. The said Benjamin has also died leaving his wife Maryam as executor. The said Benjamin in his lifetime and the said Maryam since his death have never made distribution of the estate of William Mann to his legal representatives. Request a subpoena be served on Mariam Mann to answer these charges.

The answer of Miriam Mann says that Thomas Mann was also a brother of William & Benjamin Mann.

Execution issued 27 Oct 1801 against the estate of Benjamin Mann deceased for 41 pounds & 19 shillings which Cornelius Alexander recovered for debt.
