April Session 1782

Jane Meekins appeared in open court & prayed administration on the estate of Jesse Meekins granted.

Jane Meekins appeared in open court & qualified executrix on the estate of Jesse Meekins and gave in security John Gibson Esqr. & John Liverman security in a bond of 100 pounds.

Jane Meekins returned into open court on oath an inventory of the estate of Jesse Meekins deceased ordered to be filed.

Ordered that Jane Meekins sell the perishable part of the estate of Jesse Meekins deceased as far as shall pay his debts & make return to next court.

April Court 1801

Ordered that Thomas Hoskins Senr. William Liverman Senr. & Isaac Meekins be appointed to audite and divide the estate of Jesse Meekins among the representatives of said deceased & make returns to next court.

July Session 1801

Ordered that Thomas Hoskins Wm. Liverman Isaac Meekins be appointed to audite and settle the estate of Jesse Meekins and also to divide the said estate between the representatives and make returns to next court.


Transcriber's Notes:
It is very possible these minute entries involve two different Jesse Meekins because of the time gap and the fact that the minutes are missing from 1794 to 1798.
