April Session 1815

A deed of gift from William Midyett to Dorothy Combs for two negroes Jack & Obed was proved in open court by the oath of Hezekiah Alexander.

A deed of gift from William Midyett to Ann Midyett for a negroe by the name of March was proved in open court by the oath of Hezekiah Alexander.

A deed of gift from William Midyett to Mary Bryant for two negroes by the name of Davie & Chloe was proved in open court by the oath of Hezekiah Alexander.

deed of sale from William Midyett to Lewis Midyett for two negroes by the name of Pomp & Jesse and one set of smiths tols was proved in open court by the oath of Hezekiah Alexander.

A deed of gift from William Midyett to Daphney Midyett for two negroes by the names of Dennis (?) & Hatty was proved in open court by the oath of Thomas C. Maddon.

A deed of gift from William Midyett to Nancy Midyett for two negroes by the names of Steven & Jenny was proved in open court by the oath of Thos C. Maddon.

A deed of gift from William Midyett to all his children for one negroe woman by the name of Pegg was proved in court by the oath of Hezekiah Alexander.

Ordered that Lewis Midgett have leave of administration on the estate of William Midgett and gives for security William Combs and Ed. Mann in the sum of two thousand pounds.

Ordered that Lewis Midgett administrator of William Midgett deceased have leave to sell the perishable estate of said deceased and make returns to next court.

Lewis Midgett administrator of William Midgett deceased returned into court the inventory of the estate of said deceased.

Lewis Midgett administrator of William Midgett deceased returned into court an account of sales of William Midgett deceased to amount of thirteen hundred and forty dollars & 42 and one half cents.

Ordered that Capt. Edward Mann be appointed guardian to Daphny Midgett orphan of William Midgett and entered into bond in the sum of one thousand pounds Lewis Midgett and William Combs securities.

Ordered that Lewis Midgett be appointed guardian to Nancy Midgett and has entered into bond in the sum of one thousand pounds Edward Mann and William Combs his securitys.

October Session 1816

Ordered that Samuel Spruill Danl. Sawyer & Thos. Leigh be appointed to audite & settle the estate of William Midyett deceased with the administrator & to divide the same with the legal representatives & make return to next term.

January Session 1817

The audited account & division of the estate of William Midyett was returned to court by Lewis Midyett the administrator and filed.

The legatt bond of William Combs & others for their distributive share of the estate of William Midyett deceased was returned to court & proved by the oath of Saml. Spruill Esqr. & filed same term Thos. Madix acknowledged he assigned the same.

A bond from Frederick Davenport to Lewis Midyett guardian to William Midyett for his distributive share of said estate in write of his wife Nancy Midyett & proved by the oath of Wm. Combs.

Ordered that William Combs be appointed guardian to Dafney Midyett orphan of William Midyett & entered into bond in the sum of two thousand pounds Lewis Midyett & Spencer Midyett security.

Ordered that Danl. Sawyer Thomas Leigh Esqr. & Lemuel Basnight settle the account of Dafney Midyett orphan of William Midyett deceased between William Combs present guardian & Edwd. Mann former guardian & make return to next court.

January Session 1818

The guardian account of William Combs guardian to Daphny Midyett was returned into court & ordered filed.

January Session 1819

Ordered that John Combs be appointed guardian Dafany Midyett in room of William Combs deceased & entered into bonds in the sum two thousand pounds John Alexander & Frederick Alexander securities order that he receive the estate of said orphans out of the hands of the former guardian & account for the same as the law directs.

Ordered that Thomas Leigh Saml. Spruill & Selby Patrick audite the accounts William Combs deceased former guardian to Dafany Midyett & in order that John Combs present guardian to said orphan may receive the estate into his possession.

April Session 1819

The audited account of William Combs former guardian to Daffany Midyett was returned to court & filed.

Bond dated 10 April 1815 in the amount of two thousand pounds appointing Lewis Midyett administrator of the estate of William Midyett deceased, William Combs & Edward Mann securities.

Bond dated 10 April 1815 in the amount of one thousand pounds appointing Edward Mann guardian of Daphny Midyett orphan of William Midyett deceased, William Combs & Lewis Midyett securities.

Bond dated 10 April 1815 in the amount of one thousand pounds appointing Lewis Midyett guardian of Nancy Midyett orphan of William Midyett deceased, Edward Mann & William Combs securities.

Notice dated 11 Apr 1815 that William Midyett, late of Tyrrel County, is dead. All persons having any claims on his estate must present them to the administrator, Lewis Midyett, within the time alloted by law or be forever barred from claims. Notice was posted April Term 1815 at the house of James Hoskins and taken down 20 May 1815.

Bond dated 15 July 1817 in the amount of two thousand pounds appointing Edward Mann guardian of Dafney Midyett orphan of William Midyett deceased, Lewis Midyett & Spencer Midyett securities.

Bond dated 12 {no month} 1819 in the amount of two thousand pounds appointing John Combs guardian of Dafany Midyett with John Alexander & Frederick Alexander securities.
