In the name of God Amen. I JOHN McKILDOE of Tyrrell County and Province of North Carolina being sick and weak, but of sound & perfect disposing mind and memory blessed be God, do this day and year make publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner following viz:

First my will and desire is that all my estate real and personal be sold (as far as shall be found necesary towards the paying my just debts) at twelve months credit on bonds or notes with approved security and also that all debts due to me be collected as soon as possible, and applyed towars paying my debts and after my just debts are payed I give the sole use and benefit of all and singular the remainder part of my estate real and personal to my beloved Wife MARTHA McKILDOE during her natural life or widowhood she tendering a just and perfect inventory of all and singular what shall come to her hands, with a just and equitable value thereof to be returned with the said inventory. And after my said Wifes deceas or day of marriage then my said estate real and personal remaining after my just debts are payed, I give to my Nephew RICHARD McKILDOE to him and his heirs for ever. And I do hereby make and ordain my friends Edward Buncombe, Robert Linon ? and Joseph Hewes Esquires Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.

The Last Will & Testament of JOHN McKILDOE was proved by the oath of Robert Davison and Joseph Hewes one of the Exors. took the oath for his qualification & ordered that the will be recorded and that the Secretary have Notice.
