In the name of God amen: The fifteenth day of January one thousand seven hundred and seventy two I James Mchoons of the province of North Carolina and of Tyrel County being verey sick and weak in body but of perfict mind and memory thanks be to God therefore calling unto mind the mortallity of my body and knolwing that it is apppointed for all men once to die I do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be bured in an Christain burial at the discression of my executors nothing doubting but the General resurection I shall receive the same by the mighty power of God to bless me in this life I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

Imprimis - I give unto my sone Hezekial Mchoon my dwelling plantation and all the land thereunto belonging one iron pott I say unto my son Hezekial Mchoon his heirs and assigns forever to be by him lawfully posessed and injoyed.

Item - I give unto my son James Mchoon one feather bead and furniture one puter dish two puter plates one cow and calf one iron pott I say unto my son James Mchoon to him and his heirs forever.

Item - I give unto my son William Mchoon one cow and calf one puter dish two plates one iron pott one case of bottles I say unto my son William Mchoon to him and his heirs forever.

Item - I give unto my daughter Casander Mchoon one feather bed and furniture one puter dish and two plates one cow and calf one bason I say unto my daughter Casander Mchoon to her and her heirs forever.

Item - I give unto my daughter Diannah Mchoon one bed and furniture one dish and two plates one bason one cow and calf one small fluried counk I say unto my daughter Diannah Mchoon to her and her heirs forever.

Item - I give unto my daughter Ann Mchoon one feather bead and furniture one dish and two plates one bason one cow and calf I say unto my daughter Ann Mchoon to her and her heirs forever.

Item - I give unto my son John Mchoon one cow and calf one dish and two plates one mare colt called Lide and the first colt to my son James Mchoon and the second colt to my son Hiah Mchoon I say unto him one gun I say unto my son John Mchoon to him and his heirs forever.

Item - I leave all my hole estate the use of it to my loving wife induring her widowhood I say unto my wife Susanna Mchoon induring her widowhood I will and desire that the remainer part of my estate may be divided between my wife Susanna Mchoon and my son James Mchoon and I do likewise constatute make and ordain my friends James Counsell and my wife Susanna Mchoon and John Ballard my sole executors of this my last will and Testament and I do utterly disalow revoke and disanul all and every other former Testaments Wills Leagices and Bequeaths and Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the day and year above written

Personally appeared Hardy Wheatley and proved on Holy Evangelists of almighty God that he saw James Mohoon sign seal publish pronounce and declare the witin writin to contain the last will and testament and that he see Arthur Wheatley & Holland Counsell sign at the same time as subscribing witnesses hereunto.
