Dated 3 November 1833

In the name of God amen I Damoris McCabe of the County of Tyrrell & State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory blessed be God do this day make the month of November 3d 1833 this my last will and testament as follows, that is to say ---

1st - I give and bequeath unto my sons James McCabe and William McCabe one hundred and thirty dollars to be equally divided between them ---

2d - I give and bequeath unto my son Wm. McCabe one tract a parcel of land whereon I now live with all the appurtenances there unto belonging one feather bead and furniture one set of chania ---

3d Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally McCabe one negro girl by the name of Siller feather bed and furniture that she called hers and one chest ---

4th Item - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Evelina McCabe one negro girl by the name of Charlotte one feather bed and furniture and one chest ---

5th Item - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth McCabe one negro boy by the name of Jordan {Judan} one feather bead and furniture and one heifer and one chest ---

Item 6th - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Damoris McCabe my negro boy by the name of Everit one feather bed and furniture one chest one heffer yearling ---

7th Item - I leave three hundred dollars to be equaly divided among my three oldest daughters and Everit to be hired out for the use of Damoris McCabe. ---

I leave the residue of my property to be sold and the money to be equealy divided among all my children --- Also I make this my last will and testament and appoint my worthy sons James and William McCabe of this my last will and testament the day and date of the year above written.

The last will and testament of Damoris McCabe was exhibited in open court and proved by the oath of Hugh Davenport. At the same time appeared James McCabe and qualified as executor thereto.


Transcribers Note: Tyrrell marriage bonds have James McCabe marrying Demeris Spruill 29 Dec 1797 with John Marriner as bondsman.
