In the name of God Amen. I Joshua Long of the County of Tyrril in the Provance of North Carolina being sick and weak but of sound mind and memory praised be to Almighty God for the same but calling to mind the uncertainity of this transatory life and noing that it is appointed for all flesh once to die do make this m y Last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

First & principally I do give and bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty God who give it hoping through the merits of Jesus Christ my Redeemer to receive at the General a- Glorious Resurrection and full pardon & forgiveness for all my sins he committed and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a Christian like manner at the descretion of my Executors hereafter named and as for what worldly goods it has pleased God to endow me with I dispose of as follows.

Secondly after all my just debts are paid which are of right I owe and stand justy indebted to any person or person whatsoever I give and bequeath all my Estate personly and real to my three daughters Piscila Keziah & Ester Long and to their heirs forever to be equaly devided and it is my will and desire that if my malatto girl called Rose should have three children that then my three daughters aforesaid should have each of them one according to their births and here it is to be understood that if my three daughters should die and leave no issue I give my plantation to my elder brothers son Stephen Long and to his heirs forever

Item - I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Jamima Long the whole use of my Estate both personly and Real so long as she remains my widdow and it is my will and desire that my three daughters as they come of age or mary that then they be paid their equal part as they come of age or marry and lastly I do make and appoint constitute and ordain my loving wife Jamima Long Executrix and my trusty and well beloved friend Joshua Swain Executor of this my Last Will and Testament whom I do appoint to pay all my debts and funeral chearges and I do hereby revoke and make void disanul and disalow all former wills or wills by me made and this only to be my Last will and testament in testimoney whereof I the said Joshua Long have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of January one thousand seven hundred and fifty.

These may certifie that the within will was duly proved in open court by the oath of Andrew Long and Pricilla Long two of the subscribing witnesses thereto and at the same time Joshua Swain and Jamimah Long was duly qualifyed thereto as Executor and Executrix as the law directs ordered that the Honorable James Murray Esqr. Secr. have notice that Letters Testamentory issue thereon accordingly.
