Petition April Term 1803 by Benthal Fisher & Nancy, his wife, daughter of Stephen Long, who made his last will and testament on 20 October 1792 and died soon thereafter. Remaining estate after specific bequests and payment of debts was to be equally divided between his children Anne Long, Esther Long, Priscilla Long, Isaac Long & James Long. The said testator appointed his wife, Johannah, executrix of his will. She took into her possession and disposed of the personal estate to the amount of one thousand pounds and has never accounted to your petitioner Nancy for the dividend thereof. Johanah has since intermarried with Willis Cooper who also refuses to settle the account. Request subpoena be issue for them to answer these charges.

Division dated 24 Jan 1805 pursuant to court order in October Term 1804. First the old deed given by Edward Hassell & Richard Burtenshell to James Long was surveyed. This was then divided among the representatives with lot No. 1 going to Hose Norman son of Joel Norman deceased; lots No 2 & No 3 are divided among the heirs of Stephen Long deceased agreeable to his last will and testament. Lot No 3 is the land whereon Stephen Long lived. Flyleaf says the division of Longs & Normans land.

Answer in January Term 1805 of Willis Cooper & Johanna his wife to the petition of Bentuel Fisher & Nancy his wife. The will of Stephen Long required that all debts be paid, which was done. After the testator's death the executrix, Johanna, one of your respondents, sold the personal property of the deceased but the proceeds were less than the debts. She therefore covered the remaining debt out of pocket. Case should be dismissed.

Bond dated 17 Jan 1807 in the amount of 99 pounds in which Thomas Williams & Peter Marriner Senr. are bound to Willis Cooper guardian of James Long orphan of Stephen Long deceased. The condition of the bond is that Thomas Williams has rented from Willis Cooper guardian of James Long the plantation of James Long where Stephen Long formerly lived for the term of five years and seven months until 17 Aug 1813 when James Long arrives to the age of twenty one. The rent is 9 pounds & 5 shillings per year

Willis Cooper was appointed guardian to your petitioner in October Term 1805, took possession of the manor plantation and rented it out for the benefit of your petitioner, but he has never accounted to the petitioner for the same. Willis Cooper died about the month of March 1809 leaving a will which named John Cooper & Joseph Cooper as executors. Joseph Cooper subsequently qualified as executor. Petitioner request a subpoena issue to Joseph Cooper and that he account for the said rents.

Summons dated 13 Jul 1813 and issued 21 Sep 1813 for Joseph Cooper, executor of Willis Cooper deceased to appear at next court to answer the charges of James Long.
