In the name of God Amen. I John Ludford of the County of Albemarle and premiuns of North Carolina precinct of Terrill being sick and weak in bodey but of perfect mind and memory praised be to God for it and knowing that it is apointed for all men once to dy do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form as foloweth .

Imprimis I recommend my Soule into the hands of God that gave it and my bodey I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a Cristean and desent manner by my Executors hearafter named and for my worldly goods that it hath pleased God to give me in this life I give and dispose of as foloweth.

Item - I give and bequeath unto my sister Sarah Ludford one young mare and one cow calfe.

Item - I give unto my sister Hanah Ludford one Eoy and one heffer of two years old.

Item - I give unto Isack Fitchpatrick cow calf.

Item - I give and bequeath unto my brother Thomas Ludford all the remainder of my Estate both reale and personall

Lastly I mack ordaine constitute and apoint my brother Thomas Ludford hole and sole Executor of this my last will and testament as witnesses my hand and seal this 28th of February 1735/6.

These may certifie that the Will of John Ludford was proved in open court according to due form of law (Present his Majesties Justices) by the oath of William Raphell one of the subscribing evidences.
