Transcriber's Notes:

See the probate papers of Frederick Massey. They show that the wife of Richard Lucas was Rebecca Fuller and that he was guardian to Harriet Fuller.

See the probate papers of James Lucas, who was father of Richard Lucas.

The 1850 census of Tyrrell County shows a Rebecca Lucas, age 25, likely the youngest child of Richard Lucas. Also a Rebecca Lucas, age 64, possible wife of Richard Lucas.
