In the name of God amen: I, Robert Jones of Tyrell County do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as followeth. Calling to mind the shortness of life and the certainty of dath do recommend my soul to God that gave it me and body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a Christian like manner as to my worldly goods wherewith God has blest me with I dispose of in manner as folleweth ---

The plantation whereon I now live on I leave to my widdow Sarah Jones her life time and at her death to be divided between my daughter Tabatha Jones the division to be run North and South Tabatha to have the Eastward end my land ---

I give my son Isaac Jones one one hundred acres of land lying in the Westerden Ridges and thirty acres of Juniper Swamp entered by the name of the Ratter trees, I do give my negro Sut to my widdow Sarah Jones her natural life and then to her daughter Sarah Jones I give the above mentioned property to Isaac Jones and Tabatha Jones and Poole Jones and my daughter Sarah Jones after my widdows deces to him and their heirs and assigns forever, and I give my daughter Sarah Jones one feather bed and furniture after my widdows life time excepted out of it I give to Sallie Daughter Jones then her heirs and assigns forever, I leave one young mare by the name of Fly I leave for my executors to sell to pay my honest debts and my desire is for my administrator to collect my debts due me pay my honest debts, all the rest of my property I give my widdow Sarah Jones her natural life and then to be equally divided between my son Isaac Jones and my daughter Tabatha Jones and my son Poole Jones and my daughter Sara Jones to him and their heirs and assigns forever ---

Furthermore I leave my wife Sarah Jones and Willm. Liverman of Wm. My executors this my last Will and Testament and Joseph White my trustee to see this my Will executed November the ninth day one thousand eight hundred and two.

January Session 1803

Sarah Jones comes into open court and quallified as executrix to the last will and testament of Robert Jones deceased.

The above will was proved in open court by the oath of Timothy Jones and Hezekiah Brickhouse two subscribing witnesses.

January Session 1807

Ordered that John Jones be bound to David Clayton to serve till he arrives to the age of 21 years to be educated as the law directs and learn the art and mistery of a cordwiner.

Summons dated 21 Oct 1803 for Josiah Garmaney to appear before a Justice of the Peace to answer the complaint of Robert Jones deceased in a plea of debt by note in the sum of twenty one pounds plus interest. Judgement 5 Nov 1803 by Jno. A. Patrick for forty three dollars and forty seven cents with lawful interest and costs. Execution 28 Feb 1804 against the goods & chattels, lands and tenements of Josiah Garman and directed to Joseph White constable by Jno. A. Patrick.

Execution dated 25 Apr 1804 and issued 3 May 1804 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Josiah Garman for twenty five pounds & two shillings which Robert Jones executors recovered from him in a suit for debt. No sale on land for want of bidders.

Execution dated 25 Jul 1804 and issued 9 Aug 1804 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Josiah Garman for eighteen pounds, fourteen shillings & six pence which Robert Jones executors recovered from him in a suit. Land was previously exposed to sale but there were no bidders so land is to be exposed to sale again.
