Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions


April Session 1785

Appeared in open court Ann Jones widow of Evan Jones deceased & prayed administration on the estate of the said E. Jones deceased granted and give bond 500 pounds James Jones Senr. and William Ward securitys - also the said Ann Jones exhibited in open court an inventory of the estate of the said E. Jones deceased ordered to be filed.

April Session 1786

Ordered that Ann Jones administratrix of Evan Jones deceased have leave to sell the perishable part of the estate of said deceased & make return to next court.

Ordered that Edmnd Blount, Everard Stubbs & William Mackey divide the estate of Evan Jones deceased between Ann Jones widow of said deceased & the representatives of the said Evan Jones deceased & make return to next court.

April Session 1788

Ann Jones administratrix of Evan Jones deceased exhibited in court her account against said deceased estate & there appears a balance due of 9 pounds & 5 shillings in favor of the estate ordered filed settled per auditors appointed this term.
