In the name of God Amen I Jonathan Johnson of the state of North Carolina and county of Tyrel who am weak and sick in body but of perfect mind and understanding thanks be to God for that blessing and I do call to mind that it is appointed for all men once to die and after that to judgement therefore I recomend my soul to God who gave it and my body to my executors to be buried in a Cristain like manner and with what worldly good it hath been please God to bless me with in this world I do will and dispose of in the following manner -

That is to say -

Item First I gave and bequeath unto my two sons William and Isaac Johnson the hole of my lands being one hundred and thirty acres to be eaqually devided betwen them with all the buildings orchards and convenencyes there unto belonging to them and their heirs forever -

Item Next I gave and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Susana Johnson the one half of all my pereshable property to her own use and disposel to her and her heirs forever -

Item Next I gave and bequeath unto my daughter Nancy Johnson one bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever -

And the remainder part of my perishable property to be sold and to be eaqually devided among my three children that is to say William Isaac and Nancy Johnson -

And now my will and desier is that my wife Susanah Johnson to have the use of the hole of my land during her widowhood and lastly I do appoint my well beloved wife Susanah Johnson and Paul Thoroughgood my lawful executors of this my last will and testament disannulling all others in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixt my seal this seventeenth day of January one thousand seven hundred and ninety two 1792

Personally appeared in court Mrs. Ann Hassell & made oath on the Holy Evangelists of almighty God that she saw and heard Jonathan Johnson within named sign, seal, publish, pronounce & declare the within instrument of writing to be his last will & testament and at that time he was of sound, disposing mind & memory, also at the same time she saw Benjamin Mann & James Hassell subscribing witnesses sign their names thereunto & further saith not

Execution dated 27 Jul 1792 and issued 27 Jul 1792 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Richard Hoff in the sum of 387 pounds, 7 shillings & 7 pence which John Johnston deceased's executors recovered in a suit for debt and damages, plus 4 pounds, 8 shillings & 11 pence for costs & charges.

Execution dated 26 Oct 1792 and issued 4 Dec 1792 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Richard Hoff in the sum of 387 pounds, 7 shillings & 7 pence which John Johnston deceased's executors recovered in a suit for debt and damages, plus 4 pounds, 12 shillings & 8 pence for costs & charges.

Execution dated 31 Jan 1793 and issued 7 Mar 1793 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Richard Hoff in the sum of 392 pounds, 4 shillings & 1 1/2 pence which John Johnston deceased's executors recovered in a suit for debt and damages.

Execution dated 28 Jul 1794 and issued 14 Aug 1794 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Richard Hoff in the sum of 392 pounds, 7 shillings & 9 1/2 pence which John Johnston deceased's executors recovered in a suit for debt and damages.

Execution dated 27 Oct 1794 and issued 21 Nov 1794 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Richard Hoff in the sum of 392 pounds, 11 shillings & 6 1/2 pence which John Johnston deceased's executors recovered in a suit for debt and damages.

Execution dated 28 Jan 1795 and issued 16 Feb 1795 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Richard Hoff in the sum of 392 pounds, 15 shillings & 3 1/2 pence which Johnston's executors recovered in a suit for debt and damages.
