July Session 1784

Appeared John Warringon Esqr. & prayed administration on the estate of Martin Johnston deceased granted & give bond in 150 pounds - James Swain and William Howett securitys.

Appeared John Warrington Esqr. in open court and prayed leave to sell the perishable part of the estate of Martin Johnston deceased granted & make return to next court.

October Session 1784

Appeared in open court Col. John Warrington & exhibite an inventory of the estate of Martin Johnston on oath & ordere to be filed.

Ordered that John Johnston orphan of Martin Johnston deceased be bound unto Levi Parsons until he arrive of age & that the said L. Parsons agrees to learn the said apprentice the trade of a cooper also to read write & cypher as far as the rule of threes at his freedom to {unreadable} the said apprentice with two suits of clothes.

January Session 1785

Edmund Blount Esqr. Sheriff exhibited into open court an account of sales of the estate of Martin Johnson deceased amount of 46 pounds, 1 shilling & 8 pence ordered to be filed.

July Session 1788

Thomas Stewart and Hezekiah Spruill Esquires appointed to audit and inspect and settle the accounts of guardians administrators and administratrix accounts of the deceased estates which is accordingly done as per entrys following to wit - John Warrington administrator of Martin Johston deceased and find a balance due said deceased estate of 15 pounds, 18 shillings & 11 pence filed.

April Session 1801

A power of atorney & deed from Joshua Johnson heir to Martin Johnson deceased to Jno. Swainwas proved in court by Saml. Spruill Esquire ordered registered.
