March Session 1764

Ordered that Ann Johnston have administration on the estate of William Johnston deceased on giving securities in the sum of 100 pounds procla. money which security is given by Joshua Alexander & Joseph Alexander Esqrs.

Inventory of the estate of William Johnson deceased returned on oath by Ann Johnson administratrix and it is ordered that Joseph Alexander Esqr. & Joshua Alexander appraise the value of goods mentioned in the said inventory and return the same to next court.

June Session 1764

On motion of William Cumming for letters of admr. acbonis non on the estate of William Johnston deceased in behalf of Joshua Alexander & has tendered John Alexander Senr. & John Alexander Junr. as security for his administration, which is granted they entering into bond & the clk is ordered to certify the same according to the Secretary.

Read the petition of George Caroon praying administration on the estate of William Johnston deceased & Ann his wife &c. Ordered that the clerk certify the same to the Secretary of the Province that letters may issue according to law & enter Joseph Alexander Esqr. & John Carroon in the sum of 500 pounds.

September Session 1764

On motion of George Carroon praying an order of sales of the estate of William Johnston & Ann his wife deceased granted that he the sd. George sell the perishable estate as aforesaid.

September Session 1766

Joseph Alexander exhibited an account of sale of the estate of William Johnston deceased proved by the oath of Manado Phillips before Isac Meekins Esqr. Justice of the Peace also George Carroune proved the same on his oath before Jos. Alexander Esqr. Justice of the Peace in our sd. county ordered filed.

February Session 1775

Ordered that William Johnston son of William Johnston deceased be bound apprentice to Joseph Humphreys to learn the trade of a house carpenter until he arrives at age he being now about thirteen years old.
