April Session 1799

Ordered that Ann Howett have leave of administration on the estate of William Howett deceased and give bond and security in the sum of 5,000 pounds Major Richard Howett & Mathew Brickhouse securities and quallifyed accordingly.

Ann Howett administratrix of William Howett deceased returns in open court on oath an inventory of said estate ordered file.

October Session 1802

Ordered that Capt. Woolsy Hathaway Samuel Spruill & Abner Alexander Esquires be appointed to audite settle & divide the estate of William Howett deceased between the representatives and make return to next court.

January Session 1803

Ordered that Abner Alexander Esqr. Woolsey Hathaway & Saml. Spruill Esqr. to complete the settlement & division of the estate of William Howett deceased among the heirs.

April Session 1803

Samuel Spruill Esqr. returned in court the audited account and division of the estate of Wm. Howett deceased filed.

The division of the estate of Wm. Howett was returned by Woolsey Hathaway filed.

The settled of Wm. Howett estate with the administrator was returned and find a ballance due the administrator 73 pounds, 4 shillings & 7 pence filed.

October Session 1804

Samuel Jackson returned in court the division of William Howett deceased land ordered registered.

Petition October Term 1803 of Ann Howett, widow and relict of William Howett deceased for her dower in two tracts of land of which William Howett was seized and possessed at his death in March 1799. One is a tract of 500 acres joining the sound and William Brickhouse, and where their father usually resided, and the other is a tract of 42 acres in Little Alligator joining John Murphy & Devotion Perisho. Note at end of petition says Richd. Howett to be appointed guardian ad hoc to Wm. Richd. & Allen orphans under age.

Petition July Term 1804 of Richard Howett Esqr. guardian and next friend of Archibald, William, Richard and Allen Howett, orphans under the age of 21 of William Howett deceased, for division of two tracts of land of which William Howett, their father, was seized and possessed at his death. One is a tract of 500 acres joining the sound and William Brickhouse, and where their father usually resided, and the other is a tract of 42 acres in Little Alligator joining John Murphy & Devotion Perisho.
