December Session 1809

Ordered that James Hoskins have leave of administration on the estate of his brother Hardy Hoskins deceased and has entered into bond in the sum of one thousand pounds and gives for security Charles Spruill & Jeremiah Wynne.

Ordered that James Hoskins sell the negroes and all the perishable estate of Hardy Hoskins deceased negroes names viz. Daniell, Sam and negroe girl Rachel and make returns to next court.

It appears to the satisfaction of this court that the late Doctor Hardy Hoskins deceased is in arrears to his brother James Hoskins considerable more than the value of his property therefore ordered that Charles Spruill Benj. Spruill and Richard Davis Esqrs. audite and settle said estate with James Hoskins administrator and make returns to next court.

March Session 1810

James Hoskins returned on oath an inventory of all the estate real & personal of Doctor Hardy Hoskins deceased filed.

James Hoskins administrator of Hardy Hoskins deceased returned on oath an account of sales of the estate of said Hardy Hoskins to amount of 563 pounds, 7 shillings & 6 pence filed.

He also returned the audited and settled account between the estate of Doctor Hardy Hoskins and himself as administrator and find a ballance due to the administrator of 278 pounds, 19 shillings & 4 pence filed.
