In the name of one Almighty & Eternal Being, who created the World by the word of his power, and governs the same by his unerring dictates of his Wisdom, Amen, I Thomas Harrison Senr. of state and county aforesaid, being weak in body but of sound disposing mind and memory thanks be to God for the same, do this fourth day of April one thousand seven hundred and ninety two make constitute & ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner & form following -

Principally and first of all I commit my soul into the hands of my most merciful Creator, who gave it, hoping for salvation through the merits of my dear redeemer Jesus Christ, & my body to its mother earth there to lie till the day of the resurrection at which time I humbly trust that soul and body will be reunited and made like unto Christs Glorious body through the almighty power of God. And now touching such worldly estate as it has been please God to bless me with in this life I will devise and dispose of in manner following.

Primus. My will and desire is that all my just debts and funeral expenses be all satisfied and paid

Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Harmon Harrison, my dismal plantations with all the lands thereunto belonging, to take the same into his own possession and management as though he was arrived to the age of twenty one years, but should he die without heir said land to devolve upon my beloved son Elijah Harrison and his heirs forever, otherwise to my said son Harmon and his heirs forever -

Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Harmon Harrison one bed and furniture, my long gun, and my riding horse, to him and his heirs forever.

Item. My will and desire is that my negroe woman Bet be equally divided between my two sons Harmon and Lovick, said negroe to be hired out by my executors till my youngest son comes of age and the monies arising therefrom to be equally divided between them at which time if they cant agree between themselves about dividing her, my will and desire is that she be sold by my executors for six months credit and the money arising thereby to be equally divided between them to them and there heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Lovick Harrison, the manner plantation whereon I now dwell together with two new entries one eighty six and the other fifty acres, no part of said lands to be rented out but to be in the care of my son Harmon Harrison for my son Lovick, my will and desire is that if my said son Lovick dies without heir that said land devolve upon my youngest son John Harrison, otherwise to my son Lovick and his heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath to my beloved son Lovick Harrison the sum of fifty pounds to be paid him by my executors when he comes of age, out of the monies arising from my estate, to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath to my cousin Esther Harrison one negroe woman named Jenny, one bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever.

Item. My will and desire is that my negroe woman Frank and her increase be equally divided betwen my two daughters Charlotte and Jannett, said negroe to be hired out by my executors till my youngest daughter arrives to the age of eighteen years then she and her increase, together with the moneys arising by hire to be equally divided between them to them and their heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Elijah Harrison two negroe boys, one by the name of Harry and the other by the name of Jim to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved son John Harrison one negroe boy by the name of George and one negroe girl by the name of Betty to him and his heirs forever.

Item. My will and desire is that every part and parcel of my estate of every kind whatsoever, except my wearing apparel, not already given nor bequeathed, be sold at nine months credit and the money arising therefrom, to be equally divided between my four youngest children to them and their heirs forever.

Lastly. I nominate constitute and appoint Thomas Stubbs Senr., Levi Stubbs, and my son Harmon Harrison executors of this my last will and testament revoking all other and former wills by me heretofore made, confirming this to be my only last will and testament, in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year first above written.

Personally appeared in court Thomas Harrison and made oath on the Holy Evangelists of almighty God that he saw and heard Thomas Harrison within named sign, seal, publish, pronounce & declare the within instrument of writing to be his last will & testament and at that time he was of sound, disposing mind & memory & at the same time he saw Elisha Harrison a subscribing witness sign his name thereunto & further saith not

Ordered that William Harrison be appointed guardian to Harmon Harrison son of Thomas Harrison deceased and give bond in 400 pounds Jeremiah Frasier & Evan Skinner securities.

Ordered that William Harrison be appointed guardian to Lovick Harrison son of Thos. Harrison deceased and give bond in 400 pounds Jeremiah Frasier & Evan Skinner securities.

April Session 1793

Ordered that the executors of Thomas Harrison deceased pay unto Esther Harrison the sum of for the board & cloathing of said deceased youngest son John Harrison from the 22d April 92 to April 22d 93 account filed.
