March Session 1756

The petition of Cornealius Leary read & all the parties appearing, after consideration it was ordered that Jethro Raby who intermarried with one Barbara Harris and for which Barbara's administration on her husbands estate the sd. Cornelius be arm bound to forthwith give security to the sd. Cornelius to indempnify him from all losses & damages which he may have or shall sustain on the account afsd. or that in default thereof the sd. Jethro do deliver to the sd. Cornelius all & singular the estate of which Joshua Harris decd. possessed now in his hands, he the sd. Cornelius giving security in the sum of 100 pounds Procl. money.

On motion of Jasper Charlton praying an order to sell the perishable part of the estate of Joshua Harris

On motion of Jasper Charlton in behalf of Cornl. Leary praying the court to appoint devidors to devid the estate of Joshua Harris deceased to and amongst the proper representatives of the said Joshua Harris deceased, the same is granted and ordered that Joseph Sprowele Esquire, John Sprowell & Richard Leary do divide the same on oath and that they or two of them make a return of their division next court. granted.

June Session 1756

Whereas by an order of the last court held for the county of Tyrrell it was then and there ordered that Cornolius Leary who became security for the administration of Barbara Harris on the estate of her husband Joshua Harris should take into his hands & possession all & singular the estate of the sd. Joshua Harris now to be found in this county, she the sd. Barbara Harris / now Barbary Raby / having removed herself with the estate of her husband to this county without having complied with the law in that case made {torn page} the sd. Barbara Harris having given security to indemnify the said Cornelius Leary who became security for her aforesaid, it is now ordred that Jethro Raby who intermarried with the said Barbara Harris do take into his hands all & singular the sd. estate & effects which were of the said Joshua Harris deceased.

September Session 1756

Barbary Raby exhibeted an inventory of the estate of Joshua Hareson deceased and proved the same on oath and the aforesaid Barbary Raby exhibeted her account against the estate of the sd. Joshua Hareson her deceased husband. Ordered allowed and the said account to be inrolled. On motion of Barbra Raby praying a devision of the estate of her late husband Joshua Harris ordered that Giles Long Eqsr., Thomas Learey, and John Spruil or any two of them devide the same and returne the devision to next court.

December Session 1756

On motion of Barbra Raby praying a guardian appointed for John Harrison and Mary Harrison ordered that sd. Barby Raby be guardian of the sd. John & Mary.

March Session 1757

Giles Long Esqr. returned a devision of the estate of Joshua Hareson deceased. Ordered that the same be filed.

On motion of Barbara Raby praying to take into her hands the estate of her former husband Joshua Harrison granted on giving security she accordingly enters Joseph Spruill Esqr. and Joseph Spruill planter.
