In the name of God Amen the 8th day of May 1733 I Jesper Hardison of ye County of Albemarle Planter being very sick and weak of body but of perfect mind & memory thanks be given to God for it Therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that is apointed for all men once to dye do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say principally & first of all I give & recommend my Soul into ye hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection to receive the same by ye mighty power of God and as touching such Wordly Affairs & Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this Life I give demise and dispose of the same in ye following manner and form

Imprmis - I give and bequeath to my well and dearly beloved wife Mary Hardison a Negro and all my Goods and Chatles __(?) all and Singular debts and moveable Efects excepting what is _under mentioned.

Imprimis - I give and bequeath to John Hardison a track of land containg 640 acres on ye south side of Deep Runn 1 horse 1 dish a bason a case of bottles 1 pot.

Imprimis to Mary Carkeet a cow and calf.............

Imprimis - I give and bequeath to Judah Sutton fifty pound current money of Carolina and a mare branded B.

Imprimis to Jasper Hardison my son a parcell containg 200 acres on Cheat Neck.

Imprimis to Charles Hardison a peice of land called Cheat Neck Island

Imprimis to Josuah Hardison and Tho. Hardison a parcel of land from ye uper part of Mr. Carkeats line to Cheat Neck Branch.

Imprimis to Richd Hardison and Joseph Hardison the plantation and remainer part of ye land after ye decease of my beloved wife known by the name of Roses Plantation.

Item - I desire my beloved wife Mary Hardison and John my son to be my whole and sole Executors of this my Last will and testament and allowing this my Last will and Testametn in witness wherof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the date and year over writen.

These may certify that htis day personally appeared before me Joseph Hudson & Saml. Durrance the two subscribing witnesses to the annext will and made oath on the Holy Evangelists that theysaw Jasper Hardison deceased sign seal and declare the same t be his last will & Testament and that the sd. Jasper Hardison was in his perfect senses and no compulsion was offered.

Given at Edenton under my hand the 5th of Nov. 1733.
