In the name of God amen: The sixth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one I Phillip Hunings of the Province of North Carolina and the County of Tyrel Planter being in pore state of health but in perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God for it but calling to mind the mortallity of man knowing it is appointed for all men once to die I do therefore constitute make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form folllowing that is to say first of all I recommend my soul in the hands of God that gave it me and my body to the Earth to be buried in a Christain manner at the discression of my Executors and as to my worldley Estate wherewith it hath pleased Almightty God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form Viz.

First - My Will is that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid and settled by my Executors as soon as they convenantly can after my death.

Item - I give to my loving wife Rebaca Hunings the use of my land where I now live likewise the use of my cattle sheep and hoggs to support my son John Hunnings as long as she chuses to live my widow on the primises and take care of my son John and if she chuses to marrey or remove to deliver up my son John and the Estate to my son William.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son William Hunings one shilling sterling likewise to my son Zachariah Hunings one shilling sterling likewise to my daughter Elizabeth Hopkins one shilling sterling.

Item - I give and bequeath to my grandson Larababel Hunnings son of my son William Hunnings my land where I now live to him and his heirs forever to be his proper rite the day of my wifes marrage or departure and I do hereby desire that so much of my Estate as shall be left at my death of my son John Hunnings if any there be after his maintanance take out to be sold at publick sale and to be equally divided between my two grandsons Lorabable Hunning son of William Hunning and Philip Hopkins son of John Hopkins and lastly I do hereby constitute ordain and apoint my loving son William Hunnings to be my only and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby disallow revoake disanuall all and every other former Testaments Wills and Legaces bequest and Executors by me any way before this time named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written.
