April Session 1804

Polly Hollaway came into open court and quallified as administratrix on the estate of James Hollaway as being the widow of the said deceased and the permission of court under the Act of Assembly and has entered into bond in the sum of one hundred pounds currency with John Alexander & John Brickhouse securities.

Ordered that three free holders and a Justice of the Peace to wit Capt. Joseph Hassell Mr. John Alexander and Devotion Twiddee and Paul Thoroughgood Esqr. lay out the years allowance to Polly Hollaway out of the estate of James Hollaway deceased for one year agreable to Act of Assembly and make returns to next court.

July Session 1804

Polly Hollaway returned in court on oath the inventory of the estate of James Hollaway filed.

Polley Hollaway returned in open court on oath the account of sales of the estate of James Hollaway deceased filed.

The men appointed to lay off the years allowances to Mary Hollaway out of the estate of James Hollaway returned as follows, 200 lb of beef at three dollars a hundred 3 lbs of corn at 4 dollars one bbl of flour at 7 dollars 50 lb of sugar at 7 dollars six pounds of coffee 5 dollars 2 bushels of salt 12/6 8 hundred weight of pork at 8$ - - - -

Bond dated 24 Apr 1804 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Polly Holloway administratrix of the estate of James Holloway deceased, John Alexander & John Brickhouse securities. Signed as Mary Holloway.
