Trancriber's Notes:
There is a Tyrrell County bond for the marriage of George Brownrigg to A. Hooker dated 6 Oct 1783, Benja. Dupree & John Warrington securities. Reference to the will of Stephen Hooker (1766) shows that A. Hooker who married George Brownrigg was Amelia Ann Hooker, that John Hooker and Nathan Hooker were sons of Stephen Hooker and that his wife was Roseanah Hooker. Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of Roseanah Hooker (widow) to Benjamin Spruill on 26 Sep 1767, John Phelps security. Also cited as a daughter in Stephen Hooker's will is Mary Hooker. Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of a Mary Hooker to Abraham Jennett on 16 Dec 1767, John Warrington security. This was probably the Abraham Jennett who was the son of the Abraham Jennett who died circa 1761 according to court records. Since Mary was not listed as an heir in the division of the estate of John Hooker, she must have been deceased.
