In the name of God Amen, the Last Will and Testament of Samuel Gainer of Terell County in the Province of North Carolina Planter. Whereas I Samuel Gainer Senear being of perfect helth and memory at this present wirting prays be to God for it and with knowing the unsertentey of this life doth apymt this to be my Last Will and testament in maner and form as foloweth first I bequeath my Sole unto the hands of allmity God our heavenly father hoping throu the Meret of my blesed Saviour Jesus Christ to obtain mercy and forgivenes for all my sins and as for my body to be buried at the descretion of my excutors in desent cistian manor and as for that smallpotion of goods as it hath plesed God to lend me in this Life I give as folows.

Item - I give to my wel beloved wife Ann Gainer one fether bed and all the furniture thare unto belonging and oue quow and Calf

Item - I give to my son James Gainer five Shilings curant money of Virgenia

Item - I give to my son Samuel Gainer five Shilings curant money of Virgenia

Item - I give to my son William Gainer one pound fifteen Shilings Virginea Corant

Item - I give to my daftor Mary Whitly five shillings Virgenia Corent

Item - I give to my daftor Elesebeth Griffen five shilling Virgenia Corent

Item - I give to my son Thomas Gainer one pound fifteen Shilings Virgenia corant

Item - I give to my son Arther Gainer one pound fifteen Shilings Virgenia corant

Item - I give unto my daftor Sary Gainer five shilling Corant mony of Virgenia

Item - I give unto my son Joseph Gainer my negro man after the dases of my wel beloved wife she to enjoy the sd. Negro without any molestation during her life and after her deses to go the sd. Joseph Gainer or his asigns.

Item - I give to my son Benjaman Gainer the plantation and land hare unto beloning after the deses of my wife she to enjoy the land during her life without any molestation and after her deses to aires the sd. Benjamen Gainer and his hires forever

Item - I give to my granddaft Murning Gainer one Cow and Calf and as for all the rest of my estate I lend to my well beloved wife during her widdowhoud and after her deses to be divided amount my children and I two apyint my well beloved wife and my son Samuel Gainer to be my whole and soul Executors of this my last will and testament. In witness hear of I have hearunto set my hand and seal this first day of Octber in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and fifty one.

Present his Majestys Justices

These may certify that William Ganner and Joseph Ganner two of the subscribing evidences to the within Will appeared in open court and made oath on the Holy Evangilist of almighty God that they were present and saw Samuel Ganner sign seal publish and declare the within to be and contain his last Will and Testament and that the said Samuel Ganner was then and at that time of sound and disposing memory and that they also saw Thomas Ganner the other subscribing evidence sign his name thereto at the same time. Then also appeared Samuel Ganner son of the decendent executor named in the said Will, into open court and took the executor's oath in due form of law, ordered, that the Honorable Nathaniel Rice Esqr. Secretary of the Province aforesaid have notice hereof that Letters Testamentory issue hereon as the Law directs.
