Dated 12 September 1777

In the name of God amen: I Bedford Fagan of the state of North Carolina & County of Tyrril being weak in body but of sound memory belessed be God for it do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body to the earth from whence it came in hops of a joyful Resurrection through the merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ and as for that worly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I dispose there of as follows -

Item - I will and bequeath to my well beloved son Frederick Fagan my manner plantation and the land joyning it to him and his heirs forever.

Item - I will and bequeath to my beloved son Thomas Fagan fifty acres of land joyning the other land to his heirs forever.

Item - I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Hannah Blount ten shillings lawful money of the said state -

Item - I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Sary Everit ten shillings lawful money of the said state.

And I do nominate constitute ** (torn out) appoint my wife Mary Fagan Executrix and my ** (torn out) Fagan Executor of this my last Will and Testament ** (torn out) ing and disanulling all other or former Will or Wills ** (torn out) ments by me herthertofore made constituting this to contain my last Will and Testament in witness witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this 12th day of September and in the second year of our Independancey 1777.

February Session 1778

Appeared Jesper Hardison in open court & proved the last will and testament of Bedford Fagan and at the same time Mary Fagan and William Fagan quallified executrix & executor to the last will and testament of Bedford Fagan ordered to be registered. Ordered that the Secretary have notis that letters may issue.
