I Martha Ann Etheridge of the County of Dare and the State of North Carolina, being of sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of this frail transitory life, hereby make and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in the manner and form as follows:

Item - I give and bequeath to my beloved husband Spencer Eteridge all of my estate both real and personal to dispose of as he thinks proper.

Item - I hereby constitute and appoint my said beloved husband Spencer Eheridge executor to this my last Will and Testament by me heretofore made.

In witness whereof I the said Martha Ann Etheridge do hereby set my hand and seal this October 11, 1911.

Signed sealed, published and declared by the above named testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other unto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses.

A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Martha Ann Etheridge, deceased, is exhibted before me by Spencer Etheridge the executor therein mentioned and the due execution thereof by the said Martha Ann Etheridge by the oath and examination of Chas. A. Etheridge and Chas. S. Etheridge, the subscribing witnesses, who being duly sworn doth depose and say and each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness and that the said Martha Ann Etheridge in the presence of this deponant did subscribe her name at the end of said paper writing bearing a date of the 11th of October 1911.

The deponent further saith that the said Martha Ann Etheridge, the testatrix aforesaid, did at the time of subscribing her name to the last Will and Testament and at the same time of the deponents subscribing his name as attesting witness thereto, that the said Martha Ann Etheridge was of sound mind and memory and of full age to execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponents. And these deponents say not.

It is therefore considered and adjudged by the Court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last Will and Testament of Martha Ann Etheridge, deceased.

Let the said Will togeather with the probate be recorded and filed this 28th day of January 1919.

I, Mammie Etheridge of Manteo, North Carolina, do solemnly swear that I am the sister of Charles A. Etheridge and that I am well acquainted with his handwriting.

I do further solemnly swear that the signature of said Charles A. Etheridge as attached to the Will of Martha Ann Etheridge, as a witness to the said Will is in the handwriting of said Charles A. Etheridge. I do further solemnly swear that the said Charles A. Etheridge is not at this time a resident of the State of North Carolina and that he now resides in the State of Virginia.

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court from the exemplification of the record hereinafter mentioned, that the last Will and Testament of Martha Ann Etheridge deceased, a citizen of the County of Dare and State of North Carolina has been duly proved and allowed in the proper court of probate of said City and State and it further appearing that the said Martha Ann Etheridge left property in the county of Tyrrell and the State of North Carolina. It is therefore ordered and adjudged that the exemplification of said will and its probate in the proper court of the County of Dare and State of North Carolina which has been produced and exhibited here duly certified and authenticated be allowed, filed and recorded in this court.
