July Session 1782

Elizabeth Devenport widow appeared in open court and administered upon the estate of Stephen Devenport deceased and gives in security Henry Alexander and John Alexander in a bond of two hundred and fifty pounds proclamation money. {Stephen Davenport married Elizabeth Alexander 28 Dec 1778}

Inventory of the estate of Stephen Devenport deceased exhibited in open court by Elizabeth Devenport administratrix ordered to be filed.

Personally appeared Elizabeth Devenport administratrix and prayed award for the division of the estate of Stephen Devenport deceased and the childrens part be sold and returns to be made to next court.

Ordered that Joseph Alexander Thos. Hopkins Henry Alexander & John Alexander or any two of them divide the estate of Stephen Davenport deceased and returns to be made to next court.

October Session 1782

An account of sales of the estate of Stephen Davenport deceased was exhibited into open court by the oath of Joshua Alexander Dy Sh and ordered to be filed.

A division of the estate of Stephen Davenport deceased exhibited into open court and ordered to be filed.

January Session 1783

Elizabeth Devenport administratrix exhibits into court an account vs. the estate of Stephen Devenport deceased & ordered to be filed.

October Session 1785

Ordered that Zilpha Alexander be appointed guardian to the orphans of Stephen Devenport deceased and give bond in 500 pounds - Abner Alexander and John Foster securities.

January Session 1786

Zilpah Alexander guardian to the orphans of Stephen Devenport deceased returns into court an account against the estate of Stephen Devenport deceased to the amount of 48 pounds allowed & filed.

July Session 1788

Thomas Stewart and Hezekiah Spruill Esquires appointed to audit and inspect and settle the accounts of guardians administrators and administratrix accounts of the deceased estates which is accordingly done as per entrys following to wit - Zilpha Alexander guardian of the estate of Stephen Devenport deceased and find a balance due to the orphan of said deceased of 61 pounds, 3 shillings & 1 1/2 pence ordered filed.
