I, M. E. Davenport of Tyrrell County, North Carolina make this my last Will and Testament.

Item - To my daughter Lula Forbes, the bed and furniture in the little room and her choice of the pictures, the rocking chair with the wood back, the new clock and I want her to take John and his bed and all that belonged to his mother and take care of it and him.

Item - To my son Llewellyn Davenport, the bed which I sleep on, the graphone, his fathers desk, chair and beaureau, my chair and the remainder of the pictures except two.

Item - To Vadis Godwin the tinted picture of her Grandfather and William Alexander and the other one.

Item - To my sister S. A. Armstrong and to Mary Blake my Breast pin and the balance of my household and chattle property excepting if there be any debts that can not be paid then said property shall be sold and applied to the debts first. If this sale should not settle said debts, then the land shall be sold to the best advantage to pay said debts and if there should be any surplus it is to be put out on interest for the benefit of LuLa and Llewellyn, the interest to be drawn only except in case of emergency or death.

Item - Lula Forbes to be the administrator on my estate.

A paperwriting purporting to be the last Will and Testament of M. E. Davenport, deceased, is exhibited for probate in open Court by Llewellyn Davenport one of the heirs therein mentioned. It is thereupon proved by the oath and examination of R. D. Godwin and C. S. Voliva, the subscribing witnessess thereto, who being duly sworn do depose and say and each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown him purporting to be the last Will and Testament of M. E. Davenport; that the said testator in the presence of this deponent subscribed her name at the end of said paper writing which is now shown bearing the date of 16th day of September, 1921.

This deponent further saith that the said M. E. Davenport the testator aforesaid, did at the time of subscribing her name declare the said paper writing to be his last Will and Testament and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name as a attesting witness thereto at the request and in the presence of said testator.This deponent further saith that at the same time when the said testator subscribed her name and at the time the deponent subscribed his name as a attesting witness thereto the said M. E. Davenport was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a Will and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent: And further these deponents say not.

It is therefore considered and adjudged by the Court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last Will and Testament of the said M. E. Davenport deceased. Let the said Will, togeather with the probate be recorded and filed.
