In the name of God Amen: I Joanna of the State of North Carolina in County of Tyrrell in the province aforsaid being of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for the same, but calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all to die do make this my last Will and Testament in manner follows. I recommend my soule to God who gave it and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my executor and as for my property as hath been pleased God to bless me with I do in manner as follows.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son George W. Davenport one negro woman named Phebe 1 desk one large chest with all the remainder of my moveable property.

Item 2- I give and bequeath to my daughter Pamela White all my wearing appariel and I constitute and appoint my son Geo. W. Davenport executor to this my last Will and Testament.

Then was this will exhibited in open court and proved by oath of Ira E Norman one of the subscribing witness. There to and ordered to be recorded. At the same time apperd in open court Geo. W. Davenport the executor named therein and qualified to said will.
