September Session 1737
Winefred Combs made a motion to this court praying orders for letters of administration on the estate of John Combs deced. She being the widdow & relict of the said Jno. Combs. Granted, she giving security in the sum of one thousand pound.
March Session 1738
An inventory of the estate of John Combes was duely proved in open court according to law by the oath of Winfred Combes widow of the sd. deceased. And it is ordered by this court that ye widow dispose of the said estate & likewise that she return an inventory of the goods sold to the next court.
