December Session 1754

James Blount Esqr. exhibeted a petition praying an order for administration on the estate of Daniel Coleman late of this county deceased, the same is accordingly granted and ord. that he give security in the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds Proclamation money, he accordingly enters John Hardison Esqr. and John McCaskey in the sum aforesais\d. And ordered that the said James Blount sell the perishable part of said deceased estate and make return to court.

June Session 1755

In the case Mackie vs. Wellwood Mr. Jones upon oath declares that he has in his hands between 50 shillings and three pounds Procl. of said Wellwood's money who acted as administrator of Danl. Coleman sold at public vendue, and James Jones declares that he has given his note of hand to sd. Wellwood 12 shillings 6 pence. Alex. Stewart on oath says that he has afsd. on the above acct. the sum of twelve shillings Proclamation. Charles Whitcon(?) his oath says that he has of sd. Wellwoods on the above account in his hands the sum of fourteen shillings and six pence Procl. For the above sums Wellwood has each of their notes of hand.

Stevens Lee on his oath declares that he hath given a note of hand to Moses Wellwood for three pounds on account of Danl. Coleman deceased for goods bought at publick vandue.
