April Session 1816

Ordered that Joseph Snell have leave of administration on the estate of Betsy Chesson and has entered into bond in the sum of five hundred pounds Jno. Alexander & Peter Marriner his security.

July Session 1816

An inventory of the estate of Elizabeth Chesson was returned into court on oath by Joseph Snell the administrator and filed.

October Session 1816

An account of sales of the estate of Eliza. Chesson was returned to court by Joseph Snell amount $119.32 filed.

Bond dated 10 April 1816 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Joseph Snell administrator of the estate of Betsy Chesson deceased, John Alexander & Peter Marriner securities.


Transcriber's Notes:
There is some possibility that this is the same person as the Elizabeth Chesson who died and left a will in 1814. However, there is no mention of administration with the will attached here. The gap of two years also makes it questionable unless the will was contested, but there is no evidence of that having happened.
