In the name of God amen: 14th of September 1814 I Elizabeth Cheson of the County of Tyrrell being in a very low state of health but in perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God for the same, therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give dimise and dispose in the following manner in form.

I give to my well beloved friend Roger Snell one note of hand on Joshua Long to the amount of L 11" 11s" 2d and one note against Joseph Lewis in the hands of James Blount to the half dozen Windser chairs in the care of Josh. Lewis or $12 one tin pan one bowl one sarver. I give to Betsey Snell one teastered bed tead with bed & furniture one counterpin, one small trunk one arm chair ½ dozen teaspoons one small table and linen wheel. I give to John Cheson son of Saml. One large blue chest one pair of silver sugar tongs with some papers that are in his mothers hand. I give to Ester Christoph one set of silver teaspoons or $6 in the hands of Joseph Lewis. I give to Mary Price one small chest. I give to Thomas Lewis one brass candle stick. I give to Alfred Lewis Cheson one mahogany beaufat to be at his own disposal as soon as the law will admit of it, and if he dies without a lawful heir be given to John Chesson son of Saml. I give to Elizabeth Cohoon one glass. I give my bees to be divided between James & Betsey Snell, all the rest of my property consisting of houshold & kitchen furniture cattle &c I give to Lucrecy Hart to divide among her children.

I do by these presents constitute and appoint Rodger Snell my whole executor. I do hereby utterly disallow all and every other will or wills leacies or bequeaths ratify this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

John Snell came into open court being duly sworn deporteth that he saw Elizabeth Cheson sign seal publish & declare this instructment of writing to be her last will & testament & that she was at the time of publishing in perfect mind & memory & that he saw John Adkins sign as concerning evidence thereto.
